| Notes | The Los Angeles Museum of History, Science, and Art was founded in 1910. The name was changed in 1938 to Los Angeles County Museum. In Dec. 1961 the museum's Art Division was reorganized to form the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and in Feb. 1966 the remaining divisions were reorganized to form the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, which later became known as the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Works by the Los Angeles Museum of History, Science, and Art and the Los Angeles County Museum are found under Los Angeles County Museum.
