Ernst Dryden, originally Ernst Deutsch (he changed his name in 1918), studied art under Gustav Klimt in Austria. He is best known for his superb cover illustrations for 'Die Dame' the German equivalent of Vogue magazine, of which he was Art Director; he also designed advertising posters for Bugati and Cinzano, and fashion throughout the Jazz Age. |
