Glossy wraps illustrated in colour, the upper cover gatefold with colour illustration on inner flap. 52 leaves with one colour illustration and many in B&W in text. An important and well produced booksellers' catalogue listing some 205 items, all illustrated, with brief biographical details of the some of the artists and bibliographical details; indexed by title, author and binder. Contains many of the most important Art Deco pochoir books, as well as some exceptional original gouaches of lesbian-erotic images by Schmied. Also Pierre Louÿs Chansons de Bilitis with 45 unpublished watercolours by George Barbier (under his pseudnym of E.W.Larry), the first book illustrated by Barbier, commissioned by the french collector A.Lotz-Brissoneau. Loosely inserted an errata leaf and list of prices in Swiss Francs. |
