Red publishers' cloth, title in black on spine and upper cover; with glossy coloured dust-wrappers. 245 pp; B&W and coloured illustrations. 501 etchings illustrated, in the title it claims to represent the complete work of Louis Icart but I found one gap within five minutes of acquiring the book. The book is notable for the paucity of its colour illustrations which comprise the greater part of the work, but useful as guide to date, well indexed with correct and alternative titles to each etching. Taken together with Schnesseel & Karmel's work (q.v.) Louis Icart's etchings are well documented. |
