Publishers' illustrated stiff paper wraps with large flaps. 108 unpaginated leaves; one blanck leaf; profusely illustrated in colour and B&W. Catalogue published to accompany the Exhibition of Japanese woodcuts held in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London Sept - Nov 1973. Well produced with extensive annotations to each woodcut. The parallels between Art Deco and Japanese has been well studied. 'Its intention is to illuminate the range of subjects and styles of ukiyo-e woodcuts over a period of two centuries. Consequently an attempt has been made, not to spot-light isolated great-men, but to place them in their broader contexts.' (prólogo) I. Kabuki, the popular theatre. II.
